Items relate to the history of buildings and places, industrial activity, institutions, communications and administration, the lives and achievements of residents, the economy and social life. the collections include material on important people such as William Morris whose company manufactured furnishings at Merton Abbey and Arthur Liberty, of the West End store. There is an extensive collection of printing blocks and textiles.
