Newsletter subscription list
If you sign up and consent to receive our newsletter the email address you supply will only be used to send it to you, normally every other month. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the relevant link in the newsletter footer. The subscriber list is held securely on UK servers by Emailblaster, the provider we use to manage and send our newsletters. Neither they nor Collections Trust will use this information for any other reason, nor will your details ever be shared with anyone else without your consent. Data collected when you register for an event
If you register via our website for an event organised by MDS, we will ask you for your name, role, organisation and email. We will only use the details provided to administer and evaluate that specific event. We will not use the information for any other purpose, or share it with anyone else.
Data collected when you express interest in MDS
If you express interest in sharing data with MDS, the information we ask for includes some personal information: your name, role, organisation and email. We will only use the details provided to contact you in order to follow up your interest. If you indicate that your organisation is an Art UK participating organisation, or would like to be, we will share your contact details with our Art UK colleagues so they can follow up with you too. We will not use the information for any other purpose, or share it with anyone else.
If your organisation goes on to share data with MDS, a formal data protection agreement will be signed by both parties.
Website analytics
We use GDPR-compliant Matomo to track how you interact with our website and to help us improve your user experience. The settings we use mean that your IP address is anonymised. The data is only processed by us and our web hosting platform. We have set the data retention period to 26 months to allow us to compare successive years.
