Social History Collection
There is a collection of 19th century and later artefacts, including material from the two World Wars and some stocks. One of the main themes of the museum is the GWR and the Newton Abbot workshop. There is a working signal box and, among the railway memorabilia are many artefacts, documents and photographs, including letters from Isambard Kingdom Brunel. There is a growing collection of oral history records.
