Collection history (Collection development policy)
Peter Scoley, one of the founders of the museum, had a few objects himself. Other items were donated to him and his wife over time. When the 106 Squadron Association closed officially, their collections were transferred to the museum to be looked after and a resolution was passed to do this. In 2017 the museum gained accredited status and began to focus acquisitions to the collection with the introduction of a Collections Policy.
