    The Overlord Embroidery

    The Overlord Embroidery tells the story of D-Day and the 1944 Battle of Normandy. It consists of 34 panels, each 3ft x 8ft, making it 272ft (83m) in total length. It was commissioned by Lord Dulverton of Batsford, was designed by Sandra Lawrence, and was made by the Royal School of Needlework. The Overlord Embroidery is on permanent display at the D-Day Museum.
