    The collection includes material from Africa, the Americas, Canada, Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Europe, the Middle East, New Zealand, Polynesia and Tibet. Part of the collection was transferred from the Herbert Art Gallery, Coventry, when it closed its Ethnographic collections in 1975.
