- Top bar: Gold coloured metal bar with text in relief reading 'W.M. 1926-27'. Ribbon: Ribbed and watered silk in light blue. Ribbon device: Gold coloured metal Past Master's device, being a set square with the 47th proposition of Euclid suspended below. Hanging device: Eton College coat of arms, consisting of a gold plated silver metal shield divided into two unequal horizontal sections. The top half is further divided to two vertical sections with one relief gold plated silver metal fleur-de-lis in the top left section and a relief gold plated silver metal lion passant in the right section. In the bottom section are three gold plated silver metal lilies in relief. The shield is surmounted by a gold plated silver metal set square and compass. There is an inscription on the reverse. Pin: Vertical.

- Comments:
- Lieutenant Colonel George Vere Arundell Monckton-Arundell, 8th Viscount Galway was born on 24 March 1882. He was educated at Eton College, Berkshire and Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford where he graduated with a Master of Arts degree in 1904. He succeeded to his titles as 8th Viscount Galway and 2nd Baron Monckton, of Serlby, Nottinghamshire on 7 March 1931. In 1935 he was appointed Governor General of New Zealand, serving until 1941, when he returned to England. As a freemason, he was a member of many lodges in Nottinghamshire. In 1922 he was a founding member of Old Etonian Lodge, No. 4500 and in 1929 of London Nottinghamshire Lodge, No. 5133, London. He was appointed Provincial Senior Grand Warden of Nottinghamshire in 1925 and he was promoted to Deputy Provincial Grand Master in 1933, serving until 1935. He was also a member of the Royal Arch freemasonry, Mark Masonry, Knights Templar and Ancient and Accepted Rite. He died on 27 March 1943, aged 61.
