- A postcard which features a black and white photo of the Bank of England and Threadneedle street with the Royal Exchange visible on the right hand side. The postcard has had the stamp removed and has a foreign postal mark on it but is dated 21st May 1912. It is addressed to a Mademoiselle Anna Planckaert in Belgium. The message on the reverse is written in French and discusses a holiday that Laverne is taking, playing tennis and wishing that her friend was with her.

There is a massive crater in the centre of the road junction, which has been bridged over to allow vehicles to pass - cars and buses drive across. The Bank of England is at the left of the picture, the Royal Exchange in the centre distance behind the bombsite. Foot traffic and bicycles circle the crater. A crane is still in position at the end of Threadneedle Street.
