- Brief description:
- A stringed musical instrument or harp known as ''Ubo-akwala'' from the Ibo tribe, Nigeria. It has a curved wooden neck with leather skin tightly stitched around the wood sound-box, with four holes in the skin. Originally six lengths of tightened string stretched between the sound box and the curved neck, which produced the sound when plucked. Only four are still loosely attached. The instrument was used to accompany songs
