Ink on paper. Monograph. Plan of the Castle grounds, and surrounding area. Title - centre bottom: "NOTTINGHAM CASTLE IN 1160" Top right of sheet in pencil: "2" Bottom right of image - museum stamp. Reverse - acc number in pencil. Shows a circular enclosure with a square keep; a larger enclosure to the north west and a large rectangular enclosure to the north east. Roads and paths marked - also the river at the bottom and a lake [?] bottom left.
