Obv.: COMMEMORATED AT NOTTINGHAM 13TH MAY 1856 around the arms of Nottingham above its motto on a ribbon. Rev.: TREATY OF PEACE SIGNED 30 MARCH 1856, around a seated figure of Britannia holding a branch and sceptre. Behind is a lion resting. Inscribed on edge R.BIRKIN ESQR MAYOR.'
