- Bloomin' Great Entries for LONDON IN BLOOM gardening competition were better than ever this year with Hackney people being awarded the maximum possible number (20) of certificates of excellence in the London-wide competition. "We were absolutely delighted by the number of people who were brightening up the streets and estates of Hackney by putting their balconies into flower" said judges Hester Mallinf and Adam Capland. "We were very happy to award the maximum number of certificates of excellence - and could easily have given more."
