- Title:
- Twist water bottle, 2 of 2
- Object name(s):
- environmental products; food and drink packaging; reduced resource use; bottle
- Brief description:
- Working alongside Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP), the designers Kinneir Dufort created this 'twist' bottle for the Abbey Well Spring Water range. It is 100% recyclable, contains 28% less plastic than the previous design, requires less energy to make, transport and recycle and weighs just 8g. The design of the bottle encompasses a subtle inclusion of structural ribs in an 'Arrow' design, reflecting the globally recognised recycling logo and guiding consumers on twisting the bottle after use to encourage recycling. This example has no label and is twisted to demonstrate the end of use compacted shape intended to reduce environmental impact. The bottle was Highly Commended at the 2017 Horners Bottlemakers Awards.
