- Painter. Son of distinguished painter Christopher Williams. Studied at the Central School of Art and Design followed by the Slade School of Art, University of London, where he won first prize for portraiture. He exhibited widely in prestigious solo and group shows in the UK, including the Royal Academy, the New English Art Club, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales. He shared his father’s penchant for portraiture and large-scale figure compositions, devoting the majority of his time in his later years to working on large religious subjects. His works are housed in the National Museum of Wales, the National Library of Wales, Newport Civic Centre, Cyfarthfa Castle Museum, Bangor University, University of Wales Lampeter and Aberystwyth University.
