poster, recruiting
Brief description:
‘See the World and get paid for doing It’, 1920 (c). This recruitment poster depicts two impressive looking soldiers from The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) in a Middle Eastern country. In times of peace it was difficult to recruit men into the Army on ideological grounds and rare to find those motivated simply by the desire to serve King and country. This recruitment poster therefore focuses on the travel opportunities available in the Army.
