Brief description:
Bronze coloured metal medal. On the obverse central to the design is a relief depiction of a rectangle divided vertically into two unequal sections. The left smaller section is further divided horizontally into two sections. Surmounting the line dividing the sections is a relief five-pointed star, In the larger right sections is a relief letter 'G' enclosed within a set square and compass. Encircling the central design is relief text reading 'MASONIC GRAND LODGE OF TEXAS - AF & AM -'. On the reverse central to the design is a relief depiction of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas. Encircling this is a border mounted by relief text reading 'BILLY W. TINSLEY GRAND MASTER - 1994 -'.

Billy Wayne Tinsley (b. 1937) was initiated into Houston Lodge No. 1189 in 1970. He later became this lodge's Master in 1974. He is a member of several Lodges in Texas including Texas Lodge of Research.

The cataloguing of the medal collection at the Library and Museum of Freemasonry was supported by a grant from Arts Council England in 2013.
