Object name(s):
Membership leaflet
Brief description:
Leaflet published by the Alliance Party, A Divided Community? or Alliance.You Know Northern Ireland can have a great future but only if Protestants and Catholics can learn to live together, work together, build together. In your heart you know it's right JOIN ALLIANCE NOW! An early recruiting leaflet from Alliance. The Alliance Party of Northern Ireland, often referred to as Alliance, was formed in April 1970. From the outset it drew its support from across the religious divide and from those primarily seeking reform within Northern Ireland and an improvement in community relations. Although its base of support was biased towards the middle class it initially also gained the support of many former Northern Ireland Labour Party voters.
