Inscription description:

Shield is surmounted by the Leeds Coat of Arms and is decorated with a curved dark blue shape (beneath the initials), a red shape beneath that, and a stylised light blue four-petalled flower, at the lower point of the shield. There are two holes in the undecorated metal, one each side of the centre of the shield, and two loops on the reverse side located at the top and bottom to affix the badge with a pin that is not present. Note: the initials are in upper case and the full stops are rounded and raised between the letters; the first full stop actually appears above the horizontal line of the letter "L".

Badge is silver-coloured on the reverse side, and the crest appears to resemble a rampant animal.
