Top bar: Gold plated silver metal bar surmounted by foliage and infilled with dark blue enamel with text reading 'FOUNDER'. Ribbon: Ribbed silk with three vertical stripes of dark blue, yellow and dark blue. Hanging device: Civic coat of arms of Sussex in gold plated silver and enamel being a white shield with six black swallows. It is within a roundel of gold plated silver infilled with dark blue enamel and with text reading 'THE MEN OF / SUSSEX / 37 / 12'. The whole is pinned to a cross in gold plated silver and infilled with dark blue enamel and surmounted by a celestial crown. It is all surmounted by a gold plated silver metal celestial crown.
