- From old museum label - 'Medal; Bronze, commemorating the Treaty of Peace of Paris, after the Turko-Russian war. Obv. Arms of Nottingham upon a shield, with scroll ornament above, and ribbon below inscribed with the moto "VIVIT POST FUNERA VIRTUS": inscribed COMMEMORATED AT NOTTINGHAM, 13TH MAY, 1856. Rev. seated draped female figure holding palm branch in right hand and trident in left with shield and lion: inscribed TREATY OF PEACE * SIGNED 30 MARCH 1856.* Diam. 1 1/2 in. Given by Mrs. Spittal.'
