Brief description:
Art Deco tile panel nicknamed 'The Light of Knowledge'. Was originally set into the gable end of Assembly Hall of Rugby High School For Girls, Clifton Road (demolished 1994). It was made by Carter & Co of Poole Pottery. Possibly by artists Harold & Phoebe Stabler. Rectangular panel with rounded top, made up of several glazed tiles mounted on board, in blue, yellow, cream and red. It shows a female figure holding a star above her head with both hands.
