- One of 83 drawings by botanist and entomologist Robert Jordan. He grew up in Teignmouth then moved to Birmingham. He was a doctor at Queens College Birmingham and also Professor of Comparative Anatomy the Birmingham School of Medicine. This object is not on display. Inscription lower left monogram in ink & entitled & inscribed Primula Elatior Certainly a hybrid between P Veris and P Vulgaris. It was growing in a place where both species abounded. RJ lower right in ink located Torquay Cliffs April 19th 1843
