Brief description:
Car pennant, used by General Sir Frank Messervy, Pakistan Army, 1947-1948. Messervy used this car pennant when he was Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army between 1947 to 1948. Pakistan was established in August 1947 following the Partition of India. This resulted in a huge number of displaced people and violent outbursts and many lives were tragically lost. Messervy retired in 1948 and was granted the honorary rank of general for his service.
