- Print shows two pairs of men either side, in conversation in the tunnel, three of whom are wearing red jackets, one other in a black coat. The man in the black coat, wearing glasses and holding a paper and pen, would appear to be M.I. Brunel. Thick black border; beneath the border the legend "Robert Cruikshank fecit, the Tunnel sketch'd by M. Dixie" i.e. Isaac Robert Cruikshank (d. 1856), caricaturist.

- Good overall condition. When found in stores, the print was framed; this frame was removed to facilitate archival storage and in light of future reframing for the Reinvented Project.
