Gilt metal oval shaped jewel, at the centre of which is a panel of transluscent, dark blue glass and the device of a Past District Grand Chaplain, being a Volume of Sacred Law on a triangle mounted on a rayed sun. Around the panel the metal is matt with text in relief reading 'EGYPT & THE SUDAN'. There is a hanging loop at the top.
