Plate jewel with masonic symbolism, 1865.

Brief description:
Pierced and engraved silver metal plate jewel. Obverse central to the design is a level, with a set square in front. To the left hand side of the level is a maul and a scroll. To the right of the level is a trowel. In front of the level diagonally from right to left is a plumb rule with foliage on it. Passing horizontally through the level in the centre is a rule. Encircling the central design is a letter 'C' with engraved foliage on it. The design is mirrored on the reverse with some differences there is a compass on this side at the centre of the level. There is a hanging loop at the top.
