- Brief description:
- A circular piece of red silk embroidered with the badge of the Norfolk Regiment, a seated fiure of Britannia holding an olive branch and trident, while a Union Jack shield rests at her side. The silk badge is scarlet with gold borders and a gold laurel design at the bottom centre. Gold thread around the border declaims: "East Norfolk and IX", indicating that it dates from between 1782 and 1881, when the regiment was known as the 9th East Norfolk Regiment.
