Person's biographical note:
Printmaker, painter and designer. Studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, 1945-50, and also in Paris. He then taught at the Slade and, later, printmaking at Chelsea School of Art, 1957-60. He is mainly known for his colour etchings of architectural subjects, mainly inspired by Italian buildings, some of which were published through the Curwen Press during the 1970s. His work is held in the Collections of the Tate Gallery, V&A, and the Government Art Collection. He has also designed sets for theatre. He was a founder member of the Printmakers' Council
