Brief description:
Top bar, Ribbon device and Bottom bar: Bar, below which two foliage motifs frame the top of a pointed oval shaped panel stretching down the ribbon to two more foliage motifs and the bottom bar, all in gold plated silver. Ribbon: Ribbed silk in dark red. Hanging device: Eastern crown on a triangle and on a sunburst, all in gold plated silver. They are on a disc of red enamel (barely seen) and encased within a circular band of gold plated silver with engraved text reading 'ST. JOHN'S / CHAPTER / 328'. There is a presentation inscription on the reverse. Pin: Vertical.

The First Principal of a Royal Arch Chapter is known as 'Zerubbabel' and for this reason many Past First Principal's jewels refer to 'PZ' for ‘Past Zerubbabel’ or 'MEZ' for Most Excellent Zerubbabel.
