- Brief description:
- Black and white photograph showing a blacksmith at work. He is bare headed with neatly cut curly hair, he has no protective clothing apart from an overall and leather apron and wears a short sleeved shirt and pullover. He is bending over the anvil against which he is holding by his left hand a piece of decorative iron bracket and holds tongs to it with his right hand. Behind there is a folding chair and to the left a board on which cards are pinned from competitions saying "First Prize" "Commended" "Highly Commended" - eight in all. Behind to the left on a trestle table are three loose leaf books, some kettle stands and lamp bases and a trellis which has notices on it reading "Tables Lamps", "Fire Dogs". There are also to hand a hammer, files and other tools. On reverse in pencil "Wrought iron smith at Norfolk Show, Norfolk Rural Industries".
