Brief description:
Bronze coloured oval and pierced metal medal. On the obverse is a relief depiction of a female figure holding three children, representing Faith, Hope and Charity. This is overlaying a relief cross and anchor crossed in saltire. On the reverse is a relief set square and compass enclosing a triangle bearing the letter 'G'. Suspended from the set square is a relief Seal of Solomon and above is an irradiated All-seeing eye.

The Masonic Female Orphan School was founded in 1792 in Dublin. This medal is thought to have been designed as a prize medal for the school.

The maker's mark 'MOSSOP F' belongs to the celebrated Irish medalist and die maker William Mossop (1781-1804).
