- Painter. Studied at University College, London, 1923-27, and the Slade School of Fine Art, 1930-33. Taught at West of England College of Art, Bristol, 1935-38, and as Head of Cardiff College of Art, 1938-45. He was appointed an Official War Artist during the Second World War. Worked as a Schools Inspector for Art, 1945-66. He produced detailed, semi-surreal, figurative works often depicting buildings in Barry and Cardiff
