- Gold coloured metal medal. On the obverse central to the design is a relief depiction of the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (see notes below). Encircling the central design is relief text reading 'NEW MASONIC TEMPLE / PHILADELPHIA'. On the reverse central to the design is a relief depiction of a set square and compass below an irradiated All-seeing eye. Encircling the central design is relief text reading 'DEDICATED SEPTEMBER 26 A. D. 1873. A. L. 5873'. At the bottom and between the text is a relief diamond shape with two spheres at each side.
