Pierced for suspension. Diameter: 38mm. From the old card index - 'Medal silver, proof, struck to commemorate the signing of the treaty of peace with Russia 1856. Obv. The Town Arms of Nottingham on an ornamental shield with the motto ribbon below and scroll-work aboved COMMEMORATED AT NOTTINGHAM 13TH MAY 1956. Rev. BRITANNIA seated with trident and shield, palm branch in her right hand, a lion at her knee TREATY OF PEACE SIGNED 30 MARCH 1856.'
