Bronze medal to commemorate the Nottingham Crimea War Peace in 1856, pierced for suspension. Obv.: COMMEMORATED AT NOTTINGHAM 13TH MAY 1856 around the arms of Nottingham above its motto on a ribbon. Rev.: TREATY OF PEACE SIGNED 30 MARCH 1856, around a seated figure of Britannia holding a branch and sceptre. Behind is a lion resting. From the old card index - 'Medal silver, proof, struck to commemorate the signing of the treaty of peace with Russia 1856. Obv. Arms of Nottingham COMMEMORATED AT NOTTINGHAM 13TH MAY 1956. Rev. BRITANNIA seated TREATY OF PEACE SIGNED 30 MARCH 1856.'
