Brief description:
Silver coloured metal disc. On the obverse is an image of a castle in relief, surrounded by text in relief reading 'No. 409. A.D.1771. No. 197. A.D. 1871 / DOMUS NATALIS'. On the reverse of the disc is a relief image of a temple with Hebrew characters incorporated, surrounded by text in relief reading 'HIEROSOLYMA / MATER COMMVNIS', with Pythagorean (five pointed) and Seal of Solomon (six pointed) stars.

Comments:
Jerusalem Lodge, No. 197 is one of a small number to have a non-standard centenary jewel. Prior to the mid 1860s lodges produced unofficial jewels for centenaries and those with existing jewels were allowed to continue them as a concession when a standard form was made compulsory.
