Brief description:
Cap badge, Punjab Light Horse, 1901-1947. Silver badge with the unit monogram, ‘PLH’, surmounted by crown, with scroll bearing the unit motto, ‘De Bon Voulir Servir Le Roi’, ‘to serve the King with good will’. The Punjab Light Horse was raised in 1867 as part of the Cavalry Reserve of the British Indian Army. Based in Lahore the unit was disbanded after India gained independence in 1947.
