- Top bar: Gold plated bar with a line border and text in polished relief, reading 'THE BORDER'. The bar is topped by a curling foliage motif in gold plated silver. Ribbon: Ribbed and watered silk in light blue. Ribbon device: Three shields, one above and two below, in gold plated silver and enamel. The top shield depicts the civic coat of arms of Reading, consisting of five women's heads in gold on a red enamel background, the centre head crowned. The bottom left shield depicts the civic coat of arms of Southampton, divided horizontally with two red enamel roses on a white enamel background above and one white enamel rose on a red enamel background below. The bottom right shield depicts the civic coat of arms of Guildford, consisting of a gold castle on a black enamel background standing on a green enamel field above a gold lion. Ribbon device (cont.): To the left of the top shield is a Pythagorean star (five pointed) in gold pated silver and to the right of the shield is a gold plated silver square and compasses. At the bottom of the entire device is a gold plated silver scroll infilled with dark blue enamel with text 'HANTS / BERKS / SURREY'. Bottom bar: Gold plated bar with a line border and text in polished relief, reading 'LODGE No 2475'. Hanging device: Gold plated set square with foliage motif, beneath which is suspended the 47th proposition of Euclid. There is a presentation inscription on the reverse. Pin: Vertical.
