Brief description:
'Sur le Corps d 'Armee Prussien', 1817. These notes in French investigate the corps of the Prussian Army. Like many European armies, the Prussians had adopted Napoleon’s division of his army into ‘corps d’armee’, units of around 20,000 to 40,000 men led by a marshal. Each corps was essentially a miniature army, with its own artillery, cavalry and logistics support and could deploy and manoeuvre quicker than traditional armies.
