Brixia Model 35 mortar bomb, Italian Army, 1939 (c) The Brixia Model 35 was a light mortar used by the Italian Army during World War Two (1939-1945). The bomb exploded on impact, showering the target with steel fragments. It had a high rate of fire, but its fragmentation was limited, reducing its effectiveness.
