Person's biographical note:
Architect and designer. Brother of Thomas Seddon (1821-1856). Trained under the architect T.L. Donaldson, 1847-51, before touring Europe between 1851 and 1852. He established an architectural practice with John Pritchard in South Wales, 1852-63, but was based in London from the mid 1860s. He designed the Castle Hotel (now Old College) in Aberystwyth and Abermâd house near Llanilar. He had connections with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, particularly Dante Gabriel Rossetti for whom he designed a bungalow at Birchington-on-Sea. He was also editor of \'Building World\'
