'Keighley and Craven Building Society' in gold lettering on front. metal locking mechanism to look like a book's fore-edge. no key with it so cannot be opened. engraved on foreedge with 'taylor law & co ltd bham | patent no 17722 | 1187'. hole cut out in metal on bottom foreedge engraved with 'for notes' and a slot/hole for key. cut out slot on side foreedge for coins to be put into money box. Keighley & Craven Building Society, established in the 19th century (?1852?) was absorbed by Provincial Building Society in August 1966, which today exists as Santander. Taylor, Law & Co were a metal parts manufacturer based in Birmingham, founded in 1899.
