- Printmaker, painter and illustrator. Studied at Hastings School of Art, under Malcolm Osborne (1880-1963) at the Royal College of Art, 1925-30, and at the British School at Rome, 1930. A founder member of the Society of Wildlife Artists he produced etchings, woodcuts and wood engravings of birds and animals which he exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1936. He was a brother-in-law to Lambert Gapper, Keeper of Aberystwyth University College Collections between 1934 and 1962
