Brief description:
Block of khaki Blanco cleaning powder, 1950s (c). Although it was planned to replace Blanco in the mid-1950s, some National Servicemen continued to use it until the end of conscription. It came in four shades - olive green, khaki, dark green and light green plus white. First produced as early as 1875 it was officially approved by the British Army in 1913.
