In 2003 he participated in the International Ceramics Festival in Aberystwyth with his Terminus Firing Project, part of his work with ‘symbolic’ kilns. These kilns shift the emphasis away from the fired objects and make the process of construction and firing of the kiln the artwork in itself.
The work in Aberystwyth was a model of the back of the Arts Centre and created a spectacular effect when fired. The work remained on site for over a year but eventually disintegrated.
