Brief description:
Silver coloured metal medal with hanging loop. On the obverse central to the design is a shield bearing a relief set square and compass enclosing the letter 'G' and above is an All-seeing eye with rays. Surmounting the shield is a relief banner bearing text reading 'A. F. & A. M.'. On the reverse central to the design is a relief depiction of the Wichita Scottish Rite Center (see notes below) and text below reading 'SCOTTISH RITE / TEMPLE / WICHITA'.

Comments:
The Wichita Scottish Rite Center was founded in 1887, the building having been bought from the YMCA (the Center is also referred to as the YMCA Building). It building was transformed into a temple for Scottish Rite masons of Wichita and was officially opened and dedicated in 1908 by James Daniel Richardson (1843–1914), Grand Commander of the Supreme Council, 33° Southern Jurisdiction at the time.

Hoag' established in 1914. The firm's headquarters were in Newark, New Jersey, America. However they also had an office in the Strand, London. The firm was active between 1914 and 1916.
Comments:
The cataloguing of the medal collection at the Library and Museum of Freemasonry was supported by a grant from Arts Council England in 2013.
