Brief description:
A condolence letter printed on headed note paper sent by Lever Brothers in Port Sunlight dated 3rd September 1917 to a Mr and Mrs Nevitt upon the death of their son Arthur whilst serving in the Great War. Private Arthur Nevitt was employed in the Number 2 soapery at Lever Brothers Port Sunlight, and went out to France in September 1915 with the South Lancashire Regiment. He remained in France after being wounded in the Somme offensive, and was killed in action on August 1st 1917.
