Top bar: Silver gilt rectangle, engraved ' M.E.Z. 1989-90 '. Ribbon: Red ribbed fabric. Bottom bar: Triangle formed by three gilded metal sceptres, topped by a mitre, all-seeing eye (eye on sunburst) and a coronet. Mounted on the centre of this triangle is an enamelled escutcheon depicting a soldier and a sailor holding hands across a cannon. Hanging device: Gilded metal circle with ' ARMY & NAVY CHAPTER No. 2738 ' in bright relief. Mounted on the centre of the circle is a gilded crown on a triangle. There is a presentation inscription on the reverse. Pin: Vertical.
