- Copy of Queen Mary’s Army Auxiliary Corps orders listing honours and mentions in despatches, March-April 1919. This extract from ‘The London Gazette’ lists the names of Queen Mary’s Army Auxiliary Corps women mentioned in despatches. The latter included Adjutant Administrator Geneste Penrose who was also awarded the Military Medal while working for the Camouflage Service. She was on duty at Aire and in charge of a large number of French workers who remained at their posts under her command despite heavy shelling.
