Brief description:
Letter and memorandi attached dealing with the Rugby County Court personal injury claim by Douglas L C Hands of 4 Rokeby Street. While working as a maintenance fitter at BTH on 16th August 1942, his ring got caught on the bolt of a revolving cam. It later became infected, which resulted in amputation of his little finger. The cover letter is dated 11th May 1943 and states that he received £45 in compensation. It consists of four separate sheets stapled together. Memo from Rugby County Court re Workmen's Compensation Act - BTH & Mr Hands.
